Basic
Drug Awareness - One Day Course:
This
course is designed to provide participants with
a general awareness of issues relating to drugs
and substance misuse, whether legal or illegal.
It will equip participants with a basic
knowledge of the various substances, effects,
consequences and current legislation along with
an understanding of the social effects, health
issues and various interventions.
By
the end of the course participants will have:
- an
understanding of the range of legal and
illegal drugs that are available
- an
understanding of the range and spectrum of
drug use, and patterns of drug use
- increased
their familiarity with 'key' drugs
- increased
their awareness of risks related to drug use
- increased
awareness of the range of responses to drug
misuse
